Robert Smith - Shore 2025 Black HC

Coach Smitty has been involved with girls lacrosse since 2012 when he founded Lady Blue Crabs (LBC) on the Eastern Shore in order to give his daughter and her friends a place to play the game competitively. He became a Level 1 US Lacrosse Certified coach and studied the game under numerous college coaches. From there, he put his knowledge to the test by coaching Queen Anne’s County Rec from 2012 – 2017 and coaching his LBC teams ranging from 4th – 11th grade. During his time running and coaching LBC, Smitty helped place high school aged student athletes with colleges all over the country whether it be DI, DII, or DIII.

In 2017, he became the Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach at Easton High School. While there, he coached 3 consecutive winning seasons for an overall record of 30-12 and a Bayside Conference record of 21-7. In 2018, he led Easton to a Victory over Queen Anne’s for the first time since 2007.

Most recently, Smitty has been the head coach of the LBC, now M&D Shore 2025 Black team and is excited to continue working with them to take them through their final high school years with the club.
